1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the lmfiles.com API, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use this service.

2. The service

lmfiles.com provides HTTP-accessible file storage. Files uploaded via API are assigned a public URL and can be downloaded by anyone who has that URL. The service is designed primarily for programmatic use by LLM tools, bots, and engineers.

3. Accounts and API keys

• An API key is required to upload files. Keys are issued at registration.
• Account registration may require a bootstrap token as determined by service configuration.
• You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential. We are not liable for actions taken with a compromised key.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.

4. File storage and expiry

• Files are stored on servers we control. We make no guarantee of uptime, redundancy, or data durability.
• Files expire and are deleted after 90 consecutive days of inactivity. Any download resets this period.
• Maximum file size is 100 MB.
• We reserve the right to delete any file at any time, for any reason, without notice.
• Do not use lmfiles.com as your sole or primary backup storage.

5. Public accessibility

All files stored on lmfiles.com are publicly accessible to anyone who possesses the file URL. Do not upload files containing private, sensitive, or personally identifiable information unless you intend for that data to be publicly accessible.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree to comply with the Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

7. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to files you upload. By uploading a file, you grant lmfiles.com a limited, non-exclusive license to store and serve that file to anyone who requests it via the public download URL.

We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating the service.

8. Privacy and logging

• We log IP addresses, request timestamps, file IDs, and file sizes as part of normal service operation.
• We do not sell or share this data with third parties, except as required by law.
• Upload metadata (filename, size, content type, uploader account) is stored in our database.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

lmfiles.com is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that files will be retained for any specific period.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, lmfiles.com and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or business interruption.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
